My office is finally ready and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you!
My awesome hubby bought some “Billy” Bookcases from IKEA and made a casing around them to create a fabulous built-in!
Once he created the casing he began trimming out the sections.
These encyclopedias are probably one of my favorite things in my space. They were 1970’s brown and belonged to my family since before I was born. These bad boys were our “Google”. I have great memories of my father using these encyclopedias for his beloved crossword puzzles. He passed away about six years ago with pancreatic cancer, so the books mean a lot to me. I couldn’t be happier with the way they fit in! After the fresh paint color, I think they blend well in the space. I know it would make my dad very proud to know they are being displayed in my writing room! Below is one of the puzzles he completed:)
Here we go! What you have all been waiting for: I hope you like how it turned out as much as I do! Please share your thoughts I would love to hear from you:)
Lighting chandelier/rug/Billy bookcases: IKEA
Desk: Target (I painted the legs silver to match console table)
Console table/Drapes/Silver Rhino/Glitzy pillows/chair: T.J. Maxx
